Once upon a time it was a nice warm summer day in my old country in my mom’s town where I was visiting with my husband and my 2 small children – 3 and 6,5 years old.
We spent almost the whole day at the river, swimming, talking, sun bathing. We were on our way to my mom’s house. The gentle rays of low evening sun were almost like a giant kaleidoscope created by big crowns of old trees growing along the steep river bank.
We were walking up the hill, my yonger son was tired , my husband took him on his shoulders, and I was holding my other kid’s hand. I was full of such peace and happiness that I thought: “I will remember this moment as long as I live, I will never be more happy than I am now.” And I did. That moment lives with me forever. The day, the emotion, the happiness of it. I can think of it and recall it to the smallest details. It was truly the happiest moment of my life. Forever.
